We then go for Psychic Link and Idol of Y’Shaarj. Auspicious Spirits is what we suggest as a default pick, giving you more instant damage from spirits whenever you Mind Blast or Devouring Plague a target. Out final choice is between Auspicious Spirits and Tormented Spirits. This talent can be better in structured 3v3 for this reason. This talent is a great pick any time you are being trained, which normally is the case, and is great in solo shuffle since it maximizes AoE damage.Īs for Dark Ascension, it’s certainly the easier of the two talents to play with and is great when trying to set up consistent cross CC kill windows every minute, for example when playing with a Rogue. We generally suggest picking up Void Eruption as it has good synergy with Driven to Madness, one of your best PvP talents, and Psychic Link. Then we have some talents that you would swap between, with a choice between Dark Ascension and Void Eruption. It gives your Vampiric Touch and Devouring Plague damage a chance to grant a proc, making your next Mind Spike instant and deal extra damage. Next up, for some new additions, we have Mind Spike with Surge of Darkness. Of course, we also want to get Shadowy Insight for some instant Mind Blast procs from Shadow Word: Pain damage. Shadow Crash gives us instant damage and DoT application. Silence and Psychic Horror make up the core of our instant crowd control, so we definitely need to have these. Dispersion coupled with Intangibility give us additional survivability with a reduced cooldown. In the Shadow tree, we have some obvious picks that are all but mandatory. You can also swap between Sheer Terror and Void Tendrils, depending on your preference and the matchup. We suggest picking up Move with Grace, Light’s Inspiration, and Angelic Bulwark as part of your default build, however these three points can instead be put into Manipulation and Shattered Perceptions if you prefer a more offensive build, typically when playing a caster cleave where you expect your teammate to be trained and don’t need the extra survivability. We then have the hard-hitter and the best part of Shadowlands – Mindgames. It’s very versatile and strong when used well. Void Shift is a very powerful defensive that can be used to save both yourself and your teammates. This spell has a lot of interactions that could be very situational, but is definitely worth having in your arsenal. Leap of Faith gives us the ability to keep our teammates out of CC or help them survive or even connect to their target. You can technically play without Improved Mass Dispel, but it is not recommended. That is something the spec is known for, so we wouldn’t have a core build without it. Mass Dispel and Improved Mass Dispel that reduces the cooldown and cast speed of the ability give us access to much needed utility. This is definitely a welcome addition for both kiting and chasing enemies. One of those is Phantasm, which now gives us access to a snare removal with Fade. I understand that this build won't be great for heavy damage situations that call for major healing coolodnws. While there are a lot of strong options, there are a couple core talents that are worth talking about. I wanted to keep the dps buttons to a minimum (4, with Exorcism as an optional 5th) so that HoT uptime and spot heals won't be too big of an issue, but I understand that it'll also greatly depend on how brave my tank will be when pulling packs. I've changed the build up a bit to address the lack of hit and expertise, with more emphasis on expertise since I'll be relying on a slow/fast dual-wield setup to fish for both Maelstrom and Art of War procs while still maximizing Windfury Weapon damage. I've only ever experienced leveling dungeons in Ascension so far, so I'm still unsure of the build's efficacy. I intended for this build to be used in dungeons, lower m+, and raids. It is interesting build, but its all over the place and too many things to do at the same time and cant focus on one thing lets say melee when you need to start spamming heals.įishing with maelstorm weapon works well when you combine it to Damage skills on heals it might be too unreliable. even as firemage with single greater heal can be the single healer, ofcourse its really annoying for the tank. Is this designed for dungeons and raids ? if so you are missing alot of +hit talents.since you need roughly 16% from gear and talents together.Īnd will this work ? yes it does, but most standard and heroic dungeons are easy as cakewalk.
